Dr. Chen is the Chief Executive Officer at Huahui Health. Prior to joining Huahui, Dr. Chen was the CEO of SyngenTech, a biotech startup specialized in gene and cell therapies. Dr. Chen has extensive experience in leading and managing pre-clinical and clinical stage organizations. He held various roles and responsibilities in the U.S and in China at Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, and Amgen, and led the clinical development of dozens of drug candidates from pre-clinical throughout to Phase III stages. Dr. Chen has deep knowledge in multiple therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular diseases, and a profound understanding in the evolution of the global and China local biotech / pharmaceutical sector. Dr. Chen completed his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering at University of Nevada in 2004.
Dr. Ye Bin has extensive experience in translational science and clinical development. Prior to Huahui Health, Dr. Ye played multiple leading roles during drug development stages of phase 1/2 and phase 3. Particularly, he had led the early-stage biomarker exploration/discovery and biomarker-enrichment design in pivotal trials of small molecule-based immunomodulating agent treatment in HBV-related advanced HCC and successfully reached the clinical endpoints. He has proactively led the NDA submission, drug registration and regulatory agency communications for drug approval in China. In Novartis, he co-led or participated in many bio-marker translational studies for early-stage non-oncology innovative therapies. In his 13-years academia career at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Ye has accumulated rich expertise and experience in molecular epidemiology, bio-marker based oncological precision diagnosis, treatment and prevention, he independently led multiple interdisciplinary clinical translational research and, obtained numbers of competitive academic funds during the period. Besides, Dr. Ye has been invited as keynote speakers at global academic conferences and served as reviewers of top clinical journals such as JCI and JCO.
Ye Bin received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Weizmann Institute of Science, in Israel, 1998.
Dr. Xie has broad drug development experiences and led several development organizations both in the US and in China. Prior to joining Huahui, Dr. Xie served as the Vice President, Head of RA at Qilu Pharmaceuticals. During her 20 years of tenure at Lilly, she held several cross-functional positions including Director of CMC development, Chief Operating Officer for Emerging Markets including China, Global Program Team Lead and Director of RA.
Dr. Xie received a Doctoral Degree in Organic Chemistry from Brandeis University in 2000 and completed post-doctoral training at Harvard University in 2001.
Dr. Lei Cong has extensive experience in clinical development of new molecular entities from IND filings to post launch Phase IV trials and is well versed with the global regulatory expectations across several therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Huahui, Dr. Lei has previously served in the innovative biotech companies Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical Ltd. and Tyligand Bioscience Ltd., as Sr. Vice President and Vice President of Clinical Development, Global Medical Director of Roche Asia Pacific R&D, Associate Medical Director of Novartis Pharma, Clinical Research Physician at Merck Serono and Bayer. She also spent several years in clinical practice as an Attending Physician at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated with the Capital Medical University, before joining the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Lei studied at the School of Medicine of Xi'an Jiaotong University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine, Ph.D. in Internal Medicine, and Medical Doctor's Degree (MD).
Ms. Zhang is the Vice President of Clinical Operations at Huahui Health. She has almost 20 years of experience in clinical trials worldwide. Prior to joining Huahui Heath in 2018, she worked at PHG Research Ltd. Canada, and Covance from 2012-2018. She worked as a physician at Peking University People’s Hospital for 5 years after receiving her Master’s Degree in Medicine from China Medical University, 1997.

Dr. Li currently serves as our Chairman of the Board. He has over 20 years of experience in viral infection mechanisms and its prevention and treatment research. In 2012, Dr. Li’s team discovered sodium taurocholate co-transporting polypeptide (NTCP), a receptor integral to hepatitis B infection. The discovery was a major breakthrough in the field in the over past 30 years and is now widely considered a milestone in HBV research. Dr. Li was awarded Outstanding Young Scientist in Basic Science Award, “Outstanding Achievement Award” by the WuXi AppTec Life Science and Chemistry Award.
Dr. Li received his PhD. from Peking Union Medical College in 2001. Prior to founding Huahui Health, Dr. Li worked at Harvard Medical School from 2001 to 2007 and joined National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS) in October 2007.
